plastic bars but does the job July 21, 2010 JK These bars are plastic and that is a small dissapointment. However they hold up weight very well (I'm about 180 lbs) and have been using them regularly for 2 months. Haven't broken any of them yet. Good value for money if you are looking for simple push up bars.
great product for the price June 28, 2010 K. Srilasak Not sure why the bad reviews but maybe they just got a lemon. These push up stands are sturdy and I've had no problems using them for my P90X workout.
Definitely good value.
Good push up bars May 27, 2010 Pharoah J (Nashville, TN USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
For the money these are definitely very decent push up bars. I'm sure there may be nicer ones, but these get the job done and I've had no problems with them at all. Assembly was easy and they work great for what they are intended. Much better than flat hand push ups.
Cheap and poorly made. December 9, 2009 Bonnie (Wa) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
These are so poorly made, in fact one is already broken. Don't waste your money.
Effective, but poorly designed. December 2, 2009 S. Boland 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
These push up bars are certainly effective: that isn't hard to achieve. Hence why most cost under twenty dollars. It doesn't really matter which you buy, as long as they aren't about to collapse under you. These are comfortable in my hands and don't slip around on the floor. However, they weren't designed particularly well: the two pieces that sit on the floor are made of plastic, not metal. Two of the four (each bar has a pair of legs) were bent slightly, and to get the bars to sit flat on the ground involved twisting the push up bars a little more out of shape. I ended up with push up bars that work perfectly fine, but nonetheless they did not work fine without alteration by me.
